SOCIOL 1130: Students in Service and Leadership at Harvard

This online Scalar book “Students in Service and Leadership at Harvard”  features a collection of student multimedia essays developed in the course SOCIOL1130 Student Leadership and Service in Higher Education offered at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Harvard University. The book contains six volumes from six generations of students who have taken this course.

The course methodology is centered around research as a form of leadership practice which is a concept developed by Manja Klemenčič. The chapters featured in this book are structured around story of self, story of us and story of now, inspired by the framework developed by Marshall Ganz of Harvard University “Public narrative, collective action, and power” (Ganz, Marshall (2011).
